So I forgot last weeks blog because I got way busy with finals and it slipped my mind. Sorry bout that, but anyway I'm here writing now. So just have some final tweaking to do before it's totally finished. Just adding in sound and the last scene. We got some effects we wanted thanks to Jamey and his awesomeness so I think it will turn out alright. Other than that ran in to a couple of problems here and there but overall not too bad. Should have started on it a tad bit sooner and would have helped if the school was open on sunday. It's all about time management to say the least.
Side note... WOO! last week of school!! then a week break then only have to do this one last time and I graduate!
Also trying to do extra stuff for clubs and contests but since it's finals week it's been a bit difficult.
That's all I can think about to discuss. So have a great day :D

Labor Day
So I've been sick most of this weekend but still trying to get things done. Working on finishing her other positions in photoshop and coloring them. Then putting them in After Effects to make sure they work all right. We had already put the first one I did in After Effects but I wasn't sure what was going on with the mood faces that I did and the eyes blinking that I did. Still have to try and figure that out. Jamey will be working on the backgrounds. So once that is done we can start putting everything together.

Another post about progress
'Ello 'ello
Today we hope to get done some recording and hopefully class today will just be another work day because I think we need that. It has been a little difficult getting a few things done but the best thing to do is to keep on movin' forward. I've been a little distracted with finding an internship but I don't think it's really set us that far behind. Nothing that a good full work day couldn't fix.
As for other classes, just been taking more pictures and still need to write a paper. Other than that everything is about on schedule. Just a few more weeks left till a break then my last quarter left of being in school.

Busy busy busy
Hello again
So around Wednesday I went to the library and checked out a few books on flash and after effects so hopefully this will help. I've also been working on character rigging and coloring her. This weekend I didn't have much time to do anything because I had to work so hopefully I can catch up a little bit. I plan on doin my own thing and just concentrating on getting stuff done for this project. Now is the time to do that anyway since we have everything else figured out. It's just doing the project and putting it together now.
I've been doing a lot of stuff with trying to find an internship. It's just a matter of hearing back from the people I've sent resume's to. Hopefully I hear back from them soon and hopefully I can get something that's paid.
Got my pictures done for my photography class but I still need to do my library assignment and I need to work on Thursdays class still. Ugh but I have to work at 5:30am on Thursday so I hope I can get that done cause I plan on taking a nap after work and probably won't get anything done that day.

Blargh
I totally spaced this again! I even thought about doing this yesterday but I forgot what I was doing half way through doing it >.O so now left with doing it today.
Anyway, been working on the mid term report and have most of it done I just need to meet up with Jamey and put it all together on a slide show. So I'll be meeting him before class today to get that done. I think it's moving along. We have the story figured out and everything it's just actually doing it that's left now. I feel like we are behind a little cause I've seen others in the class already animating. Although good news, I upgraded to cs5 over the weekend and now I have After Effects! So I'll be able to work on the animation at home :]
Other classes, I really hope I got the photography assignment right... it was hard to come up with a picture that wouldn't look good once it is in black and white. I wasn't able to get Light Room either. I think it will have to be a separate download. So I'll have to do some editing at school this week. And need to write a paper or do another presentation for anthropology in the next few weeks. Hope I can get it all done.
Registration for classes start this week also! 3 more classes left and an internship then I'm done with school. I just hope I can find an internship. Everywhere I've looked doesn't offer them.

Just another week
Hello.
So we meet again. Guess you want another update on how the project is moving along... Well Jamey was in charge of the script so hopefully he was able to get that done. I think the script would be pretty easy to get done since we are going from a story already written so it will be simple to adapt it to a script. But I could be wrong... I'm not the one writing it, ha. Anyway, last week during class we started to do a... well I've gone and had a brain fart and can't remember what its called. Not a concept board but I just drew out the scene sequence on some flash cards so we have a general idea and we can flush out how we want to create some of the shots and the transitions. I think the biggest decision will be how we want to show the little girl being engulfed in flames till she is nothing more than a pair of shoes. We will talk more about it in class. Just have to get more of the drawings done for now, and that's where we are in the project.
As for other classes I need to find someone that I can take portrait shots of. And need to figure out if the shot has to be indoor or if it can be outdoor.
A side note... I get to see Scott Pilgram VS the world tonight :] I'm excited!

Blog Title
Howdy.
So it's Sunday night and I'm wondering what I should update on for this blog...
In Animation I'm just working on the inspiration report. Tomorrow I hope to start doing the artwork for the animation and start learning more about the After Effects program since that is going to give the desired result for mine and Jamie's project. I'm a little concerned we might not get it finished in time. I think the best we can do right now is to take this project one step at a time though. Hopefully we didn't bite off more than we can chew. We also need to find a time to record someone to be our narrator. Other than that it's like I said, we will just have to take this project one step at a time and hope we can meet the deadline and requirements. :]
As for my other classes, I'm having fun taking pictures. However, I am not looking forward to all the library assignments that are going to be due in the next 2-3 weeks. Hope I can manage it all.

Getting an idea
Hello again.
So last week my partner and I were at a loss for what we wanted to do for our animation project. We had seperate ideas of continuations of other projects we have done but we weren't really excited to be working on any of those ideas. Throughout class I was looking up styles of flash animation trying to pick out a style we both liked and wanted to try and do, because to me the style sets the tone of the entire project. So we settled on a marionette style which could really lend itself to a broad genre. This is the best example of kind of 2 takes on one style. *if the link didn't work look up Katzenjammer - A Bar in Amsterdam on youtube. So after that we really just started talking about stuff so get some ideas. We had gone from funny experiences, to music videos, animating comic sketches like Dane Cook, mysteries of the world like big foot or loch ness, and then to poems.
We played around with the idea of the mysteries of the world idea. Maybe thinking about doing a spoof on it kind of like ice age. Where the squirrel does something minute and stupid and turn out he created the grand canyon or something stupid like that. So we both liked that idea to be more funny.
Then I looked into poems for children. I had found ring around the rosy and told Jamey we could do something like that. He didn't really get it so I had to ask him if he knew the history around the poem. So I explained and went on to try and find other poems of the sorts and that's when I found the little match girl. Needless to say we both really liked it. It is a more serious and darker mood than the mysteries of the world idea.
So we have two ideas to choose from. I think by the end of that class we got a lot accomplished. I'll probably be working on sketching the characters for both in a couple different styles and see what we like best.
On another note I want to talk a little about my other classes as well. I have two photography classes this quarter too. Now before those classes I thought I had a pretty decent camera, but it turns out it doesn't shoot raw files :/
I'm kinda disappointed but I shouldn't complain. So anyway one of the assignments is to get two pictures of water, one indoor and one outdoor. Now I have plenty of ideas for this but for some of the idea I need more than just myself. I'm having trouble finding people to help me out with my ideas cause people end up getting busy and don't have the time. So I've just been taking pictures with water in the picture but I'm concerned. I'm not sure if that's ok because I think water needs to be the main subject in the photo. Then in my other class we are using lightroom and this is where I can really tell my camera isn't as good as I thought it was. When I had zoomed in it pixilated. I don't think that happened to anyone else in the class :[
So those are my dilemmas in my other classes.
Thanks for listening.

Begining of a new quarter
Hey guys.
The new summer quarter is here. To start my classes off I have Intermediate 2D Animation with Heath. This should be interesting since I'm not an animation major however if the school did majors and minors I think I would have minored in Animation.
But anyway these blogs are an assignment to that class to update the progress on my project in the class. I should probably explain the project first before I update for anyone outside of my class ends up looking at this blog.
If I want to go with the idea I came up with in the class before this one I'm about half done. If I want to work with a partner I'm thinking I'll have to do something completely different and start all over. As for starting all over I really have no idea what I really want to do. Probably something along the lines of Bitey of Brakenwood or maybe as bizarre as Salad Fingers .
I think it would be more fun to come up with something completely new and different. Not sure if we should do something more towards the graphic design like a commercial or what.
Hopefully we can pull something off that will be just as awesome as the other group projects we've done.
There is a lot of other stuff we need to think about like the style of animation and how the scenes will be shot like camera direction and what not. I just hope we don't bite off more than we can chew with this project.
